Oak Park, Il. is about 15 minutes away from Chicago.  It is the first suburb west of Chicago and attracts those that want to be close to the Windy City but need a more down home feel to where they live.  Oak Park is often discribed as urban suburban. River Forest is just west of Oak Park and centrally located to both airports.  Fine homes and historic architecture is part of the look of River Forest.  It has plenty of natural forest preserves along the western border of the village.

Forest Park is a solid community very rich in history. Forest Park has recently been through major renovations to the downtown area that has spurred major economic development to the area.

Elmwood Park has plenty of unique retail stores along the main street and all the equally unique architecture as Oak Park.  Families and individuals alike call Elmwood Park home with its updated city facilities and dramatic forest preserves.  

 The quiet small town of Riverside has approximately two square miles of lovely tree lined streets and quaint gas light street lanterns.  Even though it is one of the smaller towns in the area, the Metra Commuter Trains makes stops there daily and is only 30 minutes to O'Hare International Airport. 

Cook County has 33 miles of the beautiful Lake Michigan coastline.  It has all the advantages of a huge metropolitan area and a wide variety of employment and fast paced living.  Many historical sites are located in Cook County including the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago. 

What you may not know is it is also home to over 67,000 acres of natural forest preserves and 18 miles of sandy beaches. Cook County is home to many smaller villiages, like Franklin Park, a quaint small town dedicated to family and plenty to keep the kids busy!
